Lovely…even if we have *no* idea what it means

A while ago, a very nice Swedish journalist came in and asked whether she could take a picture of the first Jill book for a magazine she works for. I said yes, and then promptly forgot all about it; the other day her article arrived in the post. We have absolutely no idea what it says, but the pictures look lovely, and the online translator I used (whilst obviously a bit…wrong: “everything inside, breathing sense of books and quality” – huh?) seems to suggest that the article is complimentary… Any Swedish speakers out there, feel free to come forward!
I can’t find my Swedish-English dictionary but I can read it well enough to say “Yes, it is very complimentary.”
But, what else would you expect? Can’t wait to visit you myself! (Oh, one of these days…) :-)

I thought of you the other day when I saw this article by Neil Gaiman, (http://journal.neilgaiman.com/2010/05/political-football-in-teacup.html) and marvelled at how you had managed to get him to come to Edinburgh AND you reimbursed our ticket price when we bought books. Thank you for that!
In addition I have sent the “Bookwitch” (http://bookwitch.wordpress.com) a link to this article because she is Swedish. I think I started reading her blog because she interviewed Neil at that visit, so I guess you may know her already, but hope this is helpful!

It really only says the obvious things about you and the books. Complimentary about your shop and the fact that you rescue old books and publish them again. Then mainly stuff about the author and a list of the books.
Do you know which magazine? It’s a very brief piece.

Fiona – we had someone phone up last Oct for tickets, and we had to tell it was the year before! She was really embarrassed.
